The total amount of $16,975,000 represents grant funding for three separate projects.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Ralph Abraham, M.D., R-Alto, announced Wednesday that the Monroe Regional Airport will receive more than $1.8 million in grant funding from the Department of Transportation.

The total grant amount is worth  $1,822,753. The money will fund drainage improvements at the airport that are necessary to adequately handle storm water runoff.
