Abraham votes against CR that lacks increased border security funding
WASHINGTON - Congressman Ralph Abraham, M.D., R-Alto, voted against a spending bill that would fund the government because it did not have increased funding for border security.
"Most Republicans - including me - have been very clear that we need more funding for enhanced border security. The bill introduced today by the new Democrat majority failed to deliver the funds necessary to secure our country from the criminals and drugs that are flowing in from Mexico. I want to see the government opened, but it shouldn't come at the cost of our national security and the lives of fellow Americans," Dr. Abraham said.
