Abraham issues statement on new US-Mexico trade pact

WASHINGTON - Congressman Ralph Abraham, M.D., R-Alto, issued the following statement in response to news of progress toward a new trade agreement between the United States and Mexico.

“Louisiana exported $7.4 billion in agricultural and oil and gas products last year alone to Mexico, which is our state’s second-largest export market. It’s a relationship that is critically important to our state’s economy. I’m encouraged by news that we might have an even better trade deal in the works, and I’m looking forward to learning more details,”said Dr. Abraham, a member of the House Agriculture Committee.
