Abraham awarded FRC Action’s ‘True Blue’ Award
WASHINGTON - Congressman Ralph Abraham, M.D., R-La., was awarded the Family Research Council (FRC) Action’s “True Blue” award for displaying unwavering commitment and support of faith, family, and freedom during the second session of 115th Congress.
The True Blue Award is given to members of Congress who hold a perfect 100 percent voting record on pro-life and pro-family legislation.
“I’m honored to be recognized with the True Blue Award by the FRC,” said Abraham.“As a Christian, my beliefs are a driving force behind my votes in Congress, and I will continue to stand up for pro-life and pro-family causes.”
Family Research Council Action President Tony Perkins praised Abraham’s record.
"We thank Rep. Abraham for voting to defend and advance faith, family, and freedom. As a 'True Blue Member' he voted 100 percent on FRC Action's Scorecard including to protect babies who are born alive after a failed abortion, help hard-working families set aside funds for an unborn child’s future education, and defund the individual mandate in D.C.
"Rep. Abraham deserves praise for his unwavering commitment to stand for life, family, marriage, and religious liberty. Louisianans should be encouraged to know that they have a Member of Congress such as Rep. Abraham who has come alongside other members and our President to begin the work of rebuilding our nation, and protecting the very values that made America great," said Perkins.
Votes in the House included on the scorecard were:
- Born Alive Survivors Protection Act
- Defunding the D.C. Healthcare Individual Mandate
- Family Savings Act
- Retirement, Savings, and Other Tax Relief Act of 2018
