Abraham announces $2.5 million for Alexandria Airport
WASHINGTON - Congressman Ralph Abraham, M.D., R-Alto, announced today that the Alexandria International Airport will receive more than $2.5 million in federal funds for runway improvements.
“The Alexandria International Airport continues to enhance its facilities to make it one of the best airports in the state. I’m very excited to see these millions of federal dollars come to Louisiana, and I appreciate the FAA for awarding these funds,” Abraham said.
The grant was awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration. It’s total amount is $2,571,859.
The grant will improve runway safety and airport operations and funds the second phase of a runway improvement project, which consists of the construction of the runway safety areas.
