Abraham announces $1.2 million for Tensas Health Center
WASHINGTON – Congressman Ralph Abraham, M.D., R-Alto, announced today that the Tensas Community Health Center in St. Joseph will receive about $1.2 million from the Department of Health and Human Services.
“Our rural health centers provide vital medical services to the people who call these communities home. I’m glad that these federal dollars are coming to Louisiana and working for the people of Tensas Parish,” said Abraham, a medical doctor who has practiced in the rural Delta region for more than 20 years.
The total amount of the grant is $1,160,228. It was awarded through the HHS Health Center Cluster Program and will be used by the health center as discretionary funding.
