Winnfield football players serve as veteran's pallbearers
On September 12th, Thomas Edward Hunter passed away. Hunter, 93, was a World War II veteran.
Hunter outlived all of his siblings and most family members. He also never married or had any children. Because of this, Hunter did not have anyone to be pallbearers at his funeral.
After hearing the news, six students from Winnfield stepped up.
Matthew Harrell, Brett Jurek, Justin Lawson, T.J. Homan, Christian Evans and Lee Estay volunteered to serve as Hunter's pallbearers.
