Rep. Abraham's Chief of Staff talked with Monroe Rotary Club members today
House and Senate are at work in D.C., so staffers are taking most of the questions back in the district.
Members of Monroe's Rotary Club want to know where a deal stands on a new farm bill.
Representative Ralph Abraham is one of the negotiators working on the bill.
His chief of staff spoke to the Rotary Club and expects the work to begin quickly.
Chief of Staff Luke Letlow says, "We have some of the greatest people here in Northeast Louisiana. I think we have such potential and such opportunity and just honored to work on behalf of the people here in Louisiana and Northeast Louisiana to represent them in Congress and work in Congress."
The senate has yet to confirm all of it's negotiators but they are hopeful to see the bill fully passed through Congress.
