Rep. Abraham gives CenturyLink's Glen Post congressional shout-out
Congressman Ralph Abraham honored retired CenturyLink Chief Executive Officer Glen Post Thursday in a speech on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives Thursday.
Post, a Union Parish native and Louisiana Tech University graduate, retired from the helm of the largest public company headquartered in Louisiana on June 1 after 42 years with CenturyLink, including the last 26 as the top executive.
"Glen is retiring today after 42 years with the company. He spent 26 of those years as the CEO, a feat recognized recently by Fortune Magazine as Glen is one of the longest-serving CEOs in the nation."
"CenturyLink has seen incredible growth under Glen’s leadership, expanding from 3,000 employees to more than 65,000. It is now the third largest communication service provider in the United States – a cornerstone of his legacy."
