Prayer service honors law enforcement officers

City and regional leaders met Monday to pray for law enforcement officers at the Monroe Police Department’s memorial to fallen officers.

“You are the ones that actually allow us to go home at night and sleep in our own beds safely,” U.S. Rep. Ralph Abraham said, noting they run toward the fire and trauma that the rest of us shy away from.
