Northeast Louisiana Congressman Introduces Bill to Help End High School Football Deaths

Friday night lights and football fandom, quickly turned into tragedy.
That's what happened in Louisiana's backyard with the death of Franklin Parish High School football player, Tyrell Cameron.
And, most recently, 17-year old Andre Smith in Illinois died from blunt-force head trauma during his high school football game.
"We're going to look at it a little closer and see if we could prevent some of these tragedies from ever happening," says Congressman Ralph Abraham.
Now Abraham, along with two other representatives, have introduced a bill to address high school football deaths.
"We want to give the school district, the coaches, the knowledge that they need to make this a safer sport," says Abraham.
