Millions in investment will help Louisiana workers, families and communities
Delta Regional Authority Chairman Chris Caldwell and Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards announced Wednesday that DRA will invest $2.6 million to enhance workforce training, help create and retain jobs and improve water and sewer service for rural families.
DRA’s investments, along with other public and private partners, will bring a total of $34.6 million in new investments to Louisiana. Of that, $18.5 million will go to Monroe, Grambling and Lake Providence.
“This is terrific news for cities and towns throughout my district and Louisiana. From infrastructure improvements to workforce development and new jobs, this funding will make a real difference in the lives of thousands of families in communities across our state,” said U.S. Congressman Ralph Abraham.
