Louisiana lawmakers react to NFL anthem protests, Trump's remarks
One day after more than 200 NFL players protested by choosing not to stand for the national anthem, Louisiana lawmakers spoke up on the issue.
U.S. Rep. Ralph Abraham, a Republican from Richland Parish, tweeted that he disagreed with the players' actions on Sunday.
“Our flag is about more than politics; it’s about veterans who risked everything for this country,” Abraham said in a tweet Monday. “Not standing disrespects their sacrifices.”
