Louisiana congressman dodges gators on daily jogs

Louisiana Congressman Ralph Abraham dodges alligators, 100-pound snapping turtles and snakes during his daily jogs on the freshman Republican's Alto farm.

Abraham said he jumped over a 4-foot gator — "That's a small one," he said — that wandered out of a farm pond and onto a turnrow in his path.

"I turned around the bend and the gator was sitting there, so all I could do was jump the gator," he said. "She probably didn't even notice. It was a non-event."
