Congressman Ralph Abraham tours Alexandria VA hospital

KALB - Pineville, Louisiana - Congressman Ralph Abraham took a tour of the Alexandria Veterans Affairs hospital.

He found the VA facility to be clean with well-trained staff.
Abraham sits on the House Veteran Affairs Committee. He is working on a variety of projects to improve veteran healthcare.

"We have done a choice act for our veterans. Hopefully now they can make a choice as to whether to use an outside facility and physicians," says Abraham. "It brings back, hopefully, transparency and accountability to a system that right now, has some problems facing the public."

Abraham also says that the committee is working to support whistleblowers who shine light on unacceptable VA hospital conditions.
