Congressman Ralph Abraham takes aerial tour of flooding
Caldwell Parish, La. - Although it has been over a week now since major floods devastated much of Louisiana, parts of the state are still battling high water.
Congressman Ralph Abraham and the Caldwell Parish Sheriff took an aerial tour of flooding in Caldwell Parish this morning.
Although the water is receding many forests and farm land remain covered in flood waters.
FEMA has moved in for recovery efforts opening disaster recovery centers in Colfax, Minden, Bossier, Slidell, and Monroe.
Rep. Ralph Abraham (R.) said, "What we ask of the people is to have good accounting. When they get their interview with FEMA they take all the pennies and dollars and hundreds of dollars that they've lost and present that so that hopefully they'll get the money returned."
