Abraham honors fallen Franklin player on House floor
U.S. Rep. Ralph Abraham spoke on the House floor Thursday to honor Tyrell Cameron, the Franklin Parish High School football player who died from an injury suffered in Friday’s game in Winnsboro.
Abraham, R-Alto, asked for prayers for Cameron’s family, teammates and friends as well the communities of Franklin Parish and Sterlington. Sterlington was playing Franklin Parish when the injury occurred.
“Tyrell’s death is a tragedy that has deeply touched the lives of so many people back home,” Abraham said. “I spoke today to honor his memory and to let his loved ones and his community know that I am thinking about them during this difficult time.”
