Abraham hits ground running
Fifth District Congressman Ralph Abraham says the new Congress has finally gathered the momentum it needs to get to work on legislation that's languished for years.
Congress is moving forward, according to Abraham, with a strong Republican makeup and will take an aggressive approach to pass legislation dealing with a handful of notable issues. There are 247 Republicans serving in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 114th Congress, the largest Republican majority since 1929. Republicans also control the U.S. Senate with 54 seats.
