Abraham: Agreement provides nuclear pathway for Iran

U.S. Rep. Ralph Abraham, fresh from a trip to Israel, said leaders there are right to describe President Obama’s proposed nuclear agreement with Iran as a “historic mistake.”

“Instead of a deterrent this deal gives Iran an unrestricted pathway to build a nuclear weapon,” said Abraham, R-Alto.

Abraham said he will vote for a resolution opposing the agreement that would lift sanctions on Iran in exchange for a rollback of Iran’s nuclear program when Congress reconvenes in September, as will most of the Louisiana delegation.
