$11M to refresh Coca-Cola plant
Keith Biedenharn can't hide his enthusiasm about an upcoming renovation to the Monroe Coca-Cola Bottling Co. building.
"All this is going to be done with the plans of growth and that's what we're looking for in this community," he told Congressman Ralph Abraham (R-La.), who visited the facility Wednesday just weeks ahead of the start of an estimated $11 million renovation. The total facelift will provide more modern upgrades and efficient additions to the company building.
Biedenharn, the sales center manager, hosted the congressman on a tour, sharing about the planned changes for the site. On the building's exterior, sections of marble are set to be stripped and polished. A new gatehouse and truck entrance are designed to provide easier access to the loading area.
Inside the center, sales offices will be completely remodeled, a large meeting room will be remade into a media room, while the warehouse and distribution center are scheduled for additions that will increase productivity at the Monroe site.
