The 115th Combat Support Hospital has celebrated its 100 years of service.

The soldiers set up the hospital at Camp Beauregard and recognized its greatness. The hospital was established on December 28, 1917, and is recognized as having the highest combat injury survival rate in the world.

The emergency room, operating room, pharmacy, lab, and other areas must be up in a matter of 12 to 18 hours or lives are at risk.

The soldiers take pride in not only saving lives but also being experts on the facility. No other hospital in the world has accomplished such achievements.

U.S. Congressman, Ralph Abraham (La. District 5), expressed his gratitude.

"Thank you for being there, doing their job, doing it the best that anybody could ever hope for,” Congressman said. “And allowing that troop to come back home, to their family.”
